Leadership is about lifting people up and giving them the space they need so that, when the time is right, they can take the lead.
So what gets in the way, keeps this from happening, and stops good teams in their tracks?
When, as a leader, our fear of the unknowns stifles progress and limits the advances we could be making right now.
When, as a leader, our focus on achieving the headline can make us blind to what really builds momentum in our team.
When, as a leadet, we build a team driven solely by accountability for delivering work, rather than a team that is driven by people choosing to step up, to lead, and take responsibility for the outcome.
When, as a leader, we allow ourselves to be driven by always needing to be the one with all the answers, eroding the engagement of those in our team and ultimately pushing them away.
So what do you do?
Many times, it’s the fear of not knowing!
In this fast-paced highly interactive workshop, together we will explore how it’s okay to NOT know the answer, how making a commitment to something you stand for can open up possibilities when dealing with the unknown; and how becoming comfortable with not knowing the answer can become your greatest strength.
Objectives:
To think differently about NOT knowning the answer and embracing the Collective Genius of the team.
To pracitce the language needed to work through Adaptive Challenges and times of uncertainty.
To understand the difference between Delegation and Abdication, and how that relate to handing over control.
To commit to valuing each person on our team, to foster leaders, and create opportunities where we increasingly Lead from the Jumpseat.
What you will learn from attending:
How to create an environment where people are equipped and empowered to lead during times of uncertainty.
How to embrace “not knowing” as a strength.
How to create environment where the leader is not expected to “know it all” or project an image that they do.
